Health Cloud Initiative joins forces with Your Care Online
Amsterdam, June 7, 2023 - The digital healthcare platform Your Care Online will become part of Health Cloud Initiative, a fast-growing provider of healthcare provider software within a wide range of healthcare disciplines. With the joining of forces, a large proportion of Dutch healthcare providers will be digitally linked to healthcare consumers. The transaction is part of a buy-and-build strategy supported by investor Vortex Capital Partners and makes appropriate care better and faster accessible to all Dutch citizens. As a result, healthcare costs are expected to rise less sharply over time.
Using a personal health environment, Uw Zorg Online currently provides easy online access to care from virtually all general practitioners, hospitals and a large proportion of all pharmacies in the Netherlands. In the short term, Health Cloud Initiative 's software and services will be integrated, linking 21,000 paramedical care providers to the healthcare platform at once. Reducing administrative burden for healthcare professionals and simplifying contact between healthcare providers and healthcare consumers will create more time for care.
The partnership provides healthcare providers with an integrated all-in-one solution linked to the Electronic Patient Record (EHR). This enables efficient interaction with patients. The integration of both platforms enables healthcare consumers to easily ask healthcare questions online and contact a wide range of healthcare providers, such as general practitioners, physiotherapists, speech therapists and pharmacists.
This creates a future-proof environment in which patients are involved in their treatment plan. With this, the platform responds to the increasing demand for Personal Health Environments (PBMs) and is in line with government policy to keep healthcare accessible to all Dutch citizens.
Through HCI's partnership with Uw Zorg Online and previous acquisitions of Nice Software, Incura, FysioRoadmap, Evry and CRS GGZ software, approximately 30,000 healthcare providers now work with Health Cloud Initiative products every day. A total of 150 people work for the company and it turns a turnover of 20 million euros.
More time for care
Marc Prette was appointed CEO of Health Cloud Initiative in April, taking over from founder Eric de Boer. De Boer will focus on further expanding Health Cloud Initiative in the coming period. Prette's background includes Anicura, Bergman Clinics and The Boston Consulting Group: "Digitization is crucial to ensure the quality and accessibility of care now and in the future for everyone. Both on the patient's side and on the provider's side. We create more time for care by reducing administrative burdens and by putting the control with the patient and involving them more. Combining both propositions leads to better and more accessible care, both from the perspective of the care provider and the patient. After joining forces, the founders Gideon Kreytz and André Blom, including the management of Uw Zorg Online, will remain on board. Director Wieger Vos of Uw Zorg Online joins the board of Health Cloud Initiative: "Uw Zorg Online is already the platform to arrange your own care online with your GP and pharmacy, for example to make an appointment or request a repeat prescription. By linking it with the Health Cloud Initiative software, over 21,000 additional care providers and their patients can enjoy the benefits of online care in one environment. This way, we create time for healthcare providers that they can spend on real care and patients get more control over their health."
